Robert ‘Bob’ Nelsen

Robert Henry Nelsen, 75, of Groves, Texas, died Monday, October 5, 2015, at the Magnolia Manor in Groves.

Bob was born on July 3, 1940, in Springfield, Brown County, Minnesota, to Alfred and Adeline (Schons) Nelsen. Bob was a truck driver for various companies in Minnesota. In the mid 1970s Bob made his home in Groves,  Texas, where he did demolition  work.  Bob enjoyed barbecues and four-wheeling in his spare time.

He is survived by his sister, Joan M. Fohl of Mill City Oregon; brothers, Kenneth Nelsen of Redwood Falls, Edward Nelsen and wife Arlene of Clements, and Alfred Nelsen Jr. and wife Lorna of Redwood Falls; sister-in-law, Rose Nelsen of Minneapolis; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patsy Schmid; brother, Joseph Nelsen; brothers-in-law, John Fohl and Tom Schmid; and nephew, Patrick Schmid.

A private family service will be held at a future date.
