Robert Trent Ferdinandt age 89, of Springfield, Minnesota died on July 19, 2023, at his home in Springfield.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the St. Raphael Catholic Church, Springfield, MN.
Service will be held at the St. Raphael Catholic Church, Springfield, on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.
The clergy will be Father Jeremy Kucera. Interment will be at the St. Raphael Catholic Cemetery in Springfield, Minnesota.
Military Honors will be performed by John Watson American Legion Post #257 at the cemetery.

Robert Trent Ferdinandt was born May 24, 1934, in Preston, MN to Loyal and Genevieve (Drinville) Ferdinandt. He graduated from St. Adrian High School, attended St. Thomas University, served in the army from 1953 to 1955, and graduated from Northwest Institute of Technology. On September 5, 1955, he married Sharon McCann at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lismore, MN. He worked as an X-Ray and Lab Technician at Stanley, ND and Springfield Community Hospital. He also worked for Sanborn Mfg. Bob was a football and basketball coach for St. Raphael's School, was a referee for football and basketball, church usher, member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, a Scout Master for boy scouts, member of the Springfield American Legion and for many years on a target shooting team. In retirement, Bob drove school bus for Ken Richert. During the summer months, he enjoyed his time with friends and the evening campfire at their lake home. He was a true Minnesota Twins and Vikings fan. He loved to fish and hunt. He particularly loved hunting and fishing with his sons and grandsons.
Bob is survived by his wife; Sharon, children, Jacquelyn (Craig) Fautsch of Buffalo, MN, Terry (Mary) Ferdinandt of Wadena, MN, Kathleen Ferdinandt of Willmar, MN, Cynthia (Daniel) Hillesheim of Springfield, MN, James (Sheri) Ferdinandt of Port Charlotte, FL; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Ellen. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Donald and sister, Nancy.
