Ronald John Brown

Ronald John Brown, age of 65 of Glencoe, MN. After recently being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, he passed away in his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 14, 2024. Ronald John Brown was born on June 22, 1959 in the Springfield, Minnesota hospital. 

Ronald was the 11th child out of 14 siblings. He grew up in the Sanborn, Minnesota area on the family farm. This is where he  gained his work ethics and became passionate about fixing mechanical things, specifically working on vehicles along with other farm equipment as needed. After graduating from Storden-Jeffers High School in 1977, he went on to a trade school to expand his knowledge and experiences for the work force. 

Ronald established a life in Glencoe, Minnesota where he raised his three kids. He has said his greatest accomplishment in life is his children. He enjoyed hunting, classic cars, firearms and cruising on anything with two or more wheels. He enjoyed sharing his passion and knowledge over the years with not only his children, but also his grandchildren. 

He felt the most joy in these last few years getting to slow down and admire his children grow into adults and raising families of their own. He prided himself on being able to teach the Grandkids how to ride a bike, how to ride a scooter and even teaching them to play card games.

Ronald is survived by his children: Alton (Deanna), Gregory, and Stefanie (Christopher); his 6 grandchildren: Emma, Abby, Holly, Kimber, Dane and Micah; 10 siblings: Dianne, Larry, Cheryl, Edward, Beverly, Michael, Marlon, Timmy, Thomas and Terry. He was proceeded in death by his parents Raymond and Ardeen; Step Father Melvin Clark; brothers: Raymond, Dale, Donald; Brother in law John Reiter and Sister in law Linda Brown. 

There will be a celebration of life for Ronald Brown on Sunday, December 29, 2024 in Springfield at the Springfield Area Community Center from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
