Roween Lundholm

Roween Lundholm, 96, of New Ulm died Monday, July 17, 2017, at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.  

Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 24, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in New Ulm with Pastor Grant Bode officiating.  Burial was in the New Ulm City Cemetery 

Roween is survived by her daughters; Sandra (Tom) Honl of Springfield, Marsha (Randy) Reinhart of New Ulm; grandchildren, Tracy (Mike) Liebl of Burnsville, Scott (Melissa) Honl of Norwood Young America, Adam Reinhart of Courtland, Cody Reinhart of New Ulm, and Sara (James) Roering of Foley; great-grandchildren, Max, Eli and Josie Liebl; Parker and Layla Honl; and Jaxson Reinhart; and sister-in-law, Margie Block of Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester “Chet” Lundholm; and grandson, Jon Thomas Honl.

Roween Rose Ginkel was born on March 29, 1921, in Courtland to Louis and Anna (Poehler) Ginkel.  Early in life, Roween worked at the Wearwell Garment Factory in New Ulm.  On Sept. 12, 1945 she was united in marriage to Chester Lundholm in New Ulm.  The couple was blessed with two daughters whom they raised in New Ulm.  Roween enjoyed keeping a clean home, cooking, baking, watching birds, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Roween was an active and beloved member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in New Ulm where she sang in the choir and participated in many activities with the Dorcas Society.  Roween will forever be missed and remembered by all of those who knew and loved her.
