Theodore ‘Ted’ Schotzko

Theodore “Ted” James Schotzko, 84, of Tracy, died on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at his residence in Tracy.

  Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 p.m. today (Wednesday, September 23), at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tracy with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Ted’s private cemetery. 

Theodore James Schotzko was born on March 10, 1931 to Theodore and Ruth (Johnson) Schotzko in Springfield, Minnesota.  He was baptized and confirmed at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Springfield, attended St. Raphael Elementary School, and graduated from Springfield High School.   He worked as a meat cutter and operated Lakeland Meats in Tracy. He was an avid conservationist.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; nine children; 23 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and sister, Barbara Toombs of Rosemont. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Hildegard; and siblings, John and Mary.
