William “Bill” Petersen, 82, of Lamberton died Monday, August 22, 2016, at Sunwood Care Center in Redwood Falls.
He was on born on April 16, 1934, in Willow Lake Township, Redwood County, the son of Otto and Isabelle Petersen. He attended Wanda Public School and served in the U.S. Army. He married Marsha Wog on August 18, 1962. He operated Petersen Trenching for over 40 years and worked at the Southwest Experiment Station until his retirement.
He is survived by his daughter, Robyn (Mike) Schroepfer of Lamberton; five grandchildren; brother, Joe; and three sisters, Rose Fromm and Kathy Fromm of Sleepy Eye, and Mary Hoffmann of Morgan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marsha, in 2007; and son, Jay, in 1983.
