Coats for Kids helps to ensure that all children are warm and happy

The fifth-grade at Springfield Public School, in classes taught by Troy Hoyt and Ashley Quien, collected nickles, dimes, quarters and dollars totaling $191 during the holidays that they contributed to Coats for Kids. The money provides new winter coats to children in need in the Springfield area.  By donating money for new winter coats, they give the gift of happiness and warmth to children in need.   A new coat gives a child confidence to play more, learn more, do more, and help ensure that all children feel warm, healthy and valued.  The students are pictured with their teachers, and school counselor Gigi DeBerg, who with Kami Castleman, family facilitator, coordinate the effort.
