Commencement is Friday evening
Springfield High School will conduct its 2015 Commencement Friday evening, May 15.
Fifty-nine students — 35 young women and 24 young men — will walk through the school corridors one last time as students and march into the gymnasium to the music of the traditional Pomp and Circumstance to receive their diplomas. Commencement will begin at 7 o’clock.
Leading class scholars Valedictorian Molly Dunn, Salutatorian Amy Davis, and third-ranking student Katie Rosenstengel will give the commencement address.
The Springfield High School Band, directed by Lauren Generous, and the concert choir, directed by Julie Prechel, will present several musical numbers during the program.
High School Principal Patrick Moriarty will present the Class of 2015. Superintendent of Schools Keith Kottke and School Board Chairman Charles Tews will award diplomas to the graduates.
Scholarships and special awards will be presented during the program.
