Early Learning Vehicle Fair draws hundreds

This past Thursday, the Springfield Early Learning Programs held their annual vehicle fair. The Learning Program estimates that they had 330 kids and adults who attended.

“It was a phenomenal evening and we were blessed with the best weather,” stated Jan Simonsen. “We have just amazing community support from our emergency personnel and we also had over 20 local exhibitors!”

There was a wide variety of vehicles for the community to view, learn and even climb in. First responder vehicles included police, sheriff, ambulance, fire and the highlight was the North Memorial Air Ambulance landing at the fair.

While the first responder vehicles are always a hit, the young children also loved scampering in the farm vehicles, race car, construction vehicles and more.

“The mail truck and fish house were also big hits,” said Simonsen adding, “the exhibitors were so great interacting with the kids.”

This and the other Springfield Early Learning Programs are put on with “amazing core staff” said Simonsen.
