Homecoming is being celebrated in Springfield this week

Homecoming
is being
celebrated at
Springfield
High School
with a week
of activities
for students
and alumni.
Sam Baier and Micheala Leonard were crowned Springfield High School 2015 Homecoming King and Queen to reign over festivities this week. They were crowned during a program Monday evening. Sam is the son of Randy and Amy Baier. Michaela is the daughter of John Leonard and Missy Mude
Today is Wacky Characters Day.
Thursday will be Class Colors Day and the seventh-grade is asked to wear pink, the eighth-grade green, freshmen red, sophomores blue, juniors white, and seniors black, while the staff is asked to wear purple.
Friday will be Tiger Pride Day and students will show their school colors of maroon, white and gold, or animal wear!
The homecoming parade will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday and will promenade down Central Street and into Riverside Park for a pep fest and powder puff derby in the football field.
The Tigers will meet the Cedar Mountain - Comfrey Cougars in the homecoming game on the gridiron in Riverside Park at 7:00 Friday evening.
The annual Tiger Trek carried out by the elementary department will also take place Friday.
