River Valley Speech sends six to State

On Saturday, April 17, the River Valley Speech team competed synchronously (live) in the Section 3A Speech tournament. River Valley earned the Section runner-up title out of fifteen teams.  The team from Luverne was Section champions, scoring 43 points to River Valley’s 35 points.  Fifteen River Valley speakers competed and nine of those students earned a spot in the final round of competition. Speakers placing in the top six in their categories received special recognition.  Those receiving third place or higher honors will advance on to the MSHSL Class A State speech tournament, which will be held virtually on Saturday, April 24.
