School Holiday Programs Set

Springfield Public Elementary School will present their annual holiday program Thursday, December 1, in the school’s performing arts auditorium.   The kindergarten will present their program at 2:30 p.m.; and children in grades 1, 2 and 3 will perform their program, Elflandia, starting at 7:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to Elflandia, the land of Santa’s elves. They are busy making toys and getting ready for Santa’s yearly trip around the world to bring presents to all the deserving humans on the planet. Do human beings really exist? The reports the elves have heard are not very encouraging. Many humans are grumpy, stressed and loud. Discover what the elves learn about humans when Santa shows up with a real living example.

Springfield Public School Vocal Music Instructor Julie Prechel will direct the programs with the help of the classroom teachers. Springfield High School Band will present its winter concert Thursday evening, December 8, and Springfield High School Choir will present its annual holiday concert on Thursday evening, December 15. Watch for more information in next week’s newspaper.
