Speech and Drama Awards Banquet set for Sunday afternoon, May 13

The annual speech and drama awards program will be held on Sunday, May 13, at 4:00 p.m. in the performing arts center of the school.  This year’s play directors and speech coaches will recognize all students who participated in the fall play, speech, one act play, and/or the spring play.  Seniors who were state medalists in speech, Kaitlyn Vogel and Ross VanDerWal, will present their speeches to the audience.  Seniors in both activities will serve as masters/mistresses of ceremonies.  

The event is open to the public, and there is no charge for those who wish to enjoy an opportunity to hear excellent speeches and  witness the recognition of  Springfield’s drama students and River Valley speakers. Recognition of drama students will be first followed by the speech portion of the program.
