Springfield Elementary gives back to community

Springfield Public Elementary School students spent last Friday morning giving back to the community.  In it’s seventh year, the “Tigers Give Back” event is way for the students to say thank you to the Springfield community for supporting their school for the annual Tiger Trek and throughout the year.  Each grade level did a different project:  Kindergarten – picked up trash around the school and Brown’s Park; First Grade – visited St. John Lutheran Home to do crafts and play bingo with the residents; Second Grade – cleaned up at the football field in Riverside Park and along the walking trails; Third Grade – cleaned up at the Springfield Golf Course; Fourth Grade – delivered a food shelf donation to Springfield Market; Fifth Grade – participated in activities at St. John Lutheran Home; and Sixth Grade – did yard clean-up for a Springfield resident.
