St. Raphael School donates to “Socktober” event

St. Raphael Catholic School recently completed it’s annual month-long “Fall Into Socktober” event.  Students, staff, parishioners and community members donated clothing, hats, blankets, coats, snowpants, boots, mittens and gloves.  The items collected were donated to the Springfield Area Food Shelf and St. John’s Lutheran Home.  Pictured on the day the items were delivered—front, from left:  Kaizley Cook and Everley Vogel.  Second row:  Brett Jensen, Elsi Heiling, Christina Reindl, Izabella Lang, Michael Hillesheim and Jakob Gill.  Back row:  Project coordinator Raina Klisch, Derek Tonn, Shari Koll and Becky Pautzke from the local food shelf and St. Raphael School Principal Beth Steffl.
