Students conduct drive for local food shelf

The Springfield High School recently conducted a food drive. The competition was between grades to see who could bring in the most items. Monetary donations were also accepted and each dollar collected counted as two items. A total of 703 food items and $2,775.27 were collected for the Springfield Food Shelf.

The senior class won the competition with 3,008 items collected. The High School and Middle School Student Council thanks all the students and families who helped collect food and funds for our community.

The seventh-grade was second in the competition with 1,315 items contributed.

The eighth-grade was third with 875 food items contributed. 

The tenth-grade was fourt with 626 items contributed.

The ninth-grade was fifth with 262 items contributed.

The eleventh-grade was sixth with 144 items contributed.
