YES team collecting items for recycling

Springfield High School YES team will again be collecting non-functioning holiday lights this season.

Clean some clutter by donating your lights you don’t use. Recycle the unused lights. Drop off the old, tangled or non-functioning lights at Runnings, Springfield Market, high school office, elementary office, or in the classroom of YES team advisor Courtney Messner (classroom (B121). This will continue now through January 13.

In addition, you can also donate your old mascara wands to help clean wildlife. The donations will be open through January 31. Wands will be donated to the Appalachian Wildlife Refuge.

The YES team is also collecting Pop/Soup Can tabs to be sent to the Ronald McDonald House.

The YES team would also like to remind you to keep sending in your box tops.

They will also be collecting any old markers as they will recycle those as well. This includes regular markers, highlighters and dry erase markers.

Collection bins for items are located in the Elementary Office, High School Office, and Mrs. Messner’s classroom.
