Fox 9 Town Ball Tour will Spotlight Springfield community

The Fox 9 Town Ball Tour is making a highly anticipated stop in Springfield on Wednesday, July 9, promising a day of baseball, community pride, and live television coverage at Riverside Park. Residents are encouraged to show their town pride by wearing Springfield baseball and softball jerseys and apparel throughout the day.

All the festivities at Riverside Park will begin in the afternoon. A coach pitch game is scheduled from 4:00 p.m.to 5:00 p.m., followed by a 7th-8th grade youth game from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.. For musical entertainment, old time music will be featured on the plaza at the ballpark starting at 4:30 p.m.

A variety of food options will be available.
