Springfield took a narrow 64-61 win over BOLD (Bird Island, Olivia, Lake Lillian) at home Monday night.
In the first half the Tigers took a one shot lead of 38-36. That set the tone for the rest of the game, with Springfield taking the second half by one point, 26-25, winning the game by three.
Sydney Hauger had a huge night with 37 points, hitting 54 percent of her shots. Megan Ploeger and Brooklyn Sturm followed behind with nine points apiece. Sturm and Courtney Wendt each led with three assists, Wendt also pulled down seven rebounds, while she tied Hauger with four steals.

At home again Tuesday, the Tigers took a 49-37 conference win over Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop.
Springfield had complete control of the first half taking a commanding lead of 28-11. GFW responded with a strong second half, 26-21, but it wasn’t enough with the Tigers winning 49-37.
Sydney Hauger dropped 19 points and had three assists to lead the team. Megan Ploeger followed with nine points of her own. Hauger and Wendt tied with five steals, and Ploeger and Samantha Richert had five rebounds apiece.

The Tigers buried Cedar Mountain right out of the gates in a 72-25 win on the road Friday night. The win put the Tiger record at 16-3 for the season.
Springfield put the hammer down early, building a 38-13 lead through the first half. The second half was more of the same as the Tigers outscored the Cougars by 22, running away with a 47 point win.
The Tiger defense was on the prowl, picking up 18 steals, led by Megan Ploeger with six.
Offensively, Springfield had a balanced attack paced by 23 points from Sydney Hauger, 13 from Brooklyn Sturm and 10 from Courtney Wendt. Wendt had a team-high six rebounds and Sturm led Springfield with five assists.
