New Tiger Football scoreboard is erected

A new electronic scoreboard for Tiger football was installed on the east end of the football field in Riverside Park Monday.  The scoreboard, manufactured by Daktronics, was installed by the Springfield Public Utilities crew.  Nick Fast and Chris Gartner, in buckets, can be seen, upper right and left, guiding the decorative top piece into place. Zach Mickelson is at the left on the field, as is Springfield High School Athletic Director Paul Arnoldi and, at the right, Tiger Football Head Coach Paul Dunn, who observed the operation along with Superintendent Keith Kottke.  PUC workers Doug Walton (operating the crane), and Chris Niehoff are at work behind the sign. Funding for the scoreboard had good financial support by local contributors and the school district did not have to take education dollars to fund it, according to Superintendent Kottke.
