The Springfield Tiger varsity girls basketball team had two victories in the Section 2A South Subsection playoff games this past week. They defeated JWP 52-36 on February 27 and Nicollet/Loyola 59-51 on March 2. The Tigers move on in the subsection playoffs this week when they meet #1 St. Clair in the subsection final game on Tuesday, March 6 at 7:45 p.m. at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter. The winner of that game moves on to the section final on Friday, March 9 at 6:00 p.m. at Minnesota State University in Mankato.
