Tiger Boys Basketball
The Springfield Tiger varsity boys basketball opened their season last Tuesday in Lamberton against Red Rock Central. The Tigers got a big win 77-37 over the Falcons.
This week, the Tigers host Mankato Loyola on Monday, December 10, New Ulm Cathedral on Tuesday, December 11 and Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop on Friday, December 14. Best of luck to Head Coach Lance Larson and the Tigers in action this week!

The Tigers traveled to Lamberton last Tuesday evening to open their season with a matchup with Red Rock Central. The Tigers came away with a big win 77-37 against the Falcons.
In Tiger action, Isaac Fink scored 24 points with 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals while teammate Decker Scheffler scored 20 points with 7 rebounds, 9 assists and 1 steal. Mitchell Buerkle scored 12 points with 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal while Mitchell Leonard scored 9 points with 1 rebound. Ivan Hovland scored 5 points with 3 rebounds and 1 steal while Nolan Hovland scored 3 points with 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal. Curtis Tauer scored 2 points with 2 rebounds and 2 steals while Noah Richert scored 2 points with 1 rebound. Mason Kretsch and Elijah Kirschstein each had 2 rebounds while teammate Jordan Kieper had 2 assists. Brody Sturm and Tabor Runck each had 1 rebound while Jake Rosenstengel had 1 steal for the Tiger victory.
