Tiger boys varsity basketball ends 2014-15 season in sub-section championship game

The Springfield Tiger varsity boys basketball team ended their 2014-15 season with a loss in the sub-section championship game against a good Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City team.  The Tigers and ACGC were tied at 61-61 with 2 minutes remaining and ACGC with the ball.  ACGC ran the clock down to under 15 seconds, called a time-out, took a tough shot with under 2 seconds and won the matchup as the clock ran out, 63-61.

With the loss, the Tigers ended their 2014-15 season with a 23-4 overall record, 15-1 and a Tomahawk Conference Championship.  Head Coach Lance Larson thanks the Tigers fans, all his wonderful players and especially his seniors for their fine play and leadership:  Carter Erickson, Tyler Vogel and Andy Salonek.  The Tiger underclassmen are:  Noah Bertram, Jevan Richert, Tanner Vogel, Isaac Fink, Kale Meendering, Andrew Beckman, Joe Pieschel and Branden Flock.  The future looks very bright for Coach Larson and his Tiger team.
