Tiger Football

   The Tiger boys varsity football team faced New Ulm Cathedral last Wednesday, October 17 for their last game of the regular season.  The Greyhounds defeated the Tigers 43-15, putting the Tiger season record at 4-4.

     Section play begins this week.  The Tigers, #3 seed, will host the Sleepy Eye Indians, #6 seed, in the first round of section play this  Tuesday, October 23 at 3 p.m. at Sticker Field.  Best of luck to Head Coach Bob Fink and the Tigers in section action this week!

 

Tigers 15  NUC 43

The Tigers hosted New Ulm Cathedral last Wednesday at Sticker Field for their last game of the regular season.  The Tigers lost the matchup 15-43.

Scoring for the Tigers all happened in the fourth quarter.  Isaac Fink had a 20-yard touchdown pass from Decker Scheffler along with a good two-point conversion from Scheffler to Nolan Hovland.  Kadin Johnson had a 64-yard touchdown run along with Tim Rogotzke’s   good extra point attempt.

On Tiger offense, Decker Scheffler was 6 for 19 for 93 yards in passing which included 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions.  In receiving, Isaac Fink had 3 catches for 64 yards that included a touchdown.  Nolan Hovland had 2 catches for 32 yards and Jordan Kieper had 1 catch for 8 yards.  In rushing, Mason Rummel had 16 carries for 101 yards.  Kadin Johnson had 4 carries for 67 yards that included a touchdown.  Decker Scheffler had 9 carries for 52 yards.

On Tiger defense, Ivan Hovland had 7 tackles and 10 assists while Isaac Fink with 4 tackles and 1 assist.  Caleb Hauger had 3 tackles and 6 assists while Mason Rummel had 2 tackles and 10 assists.  Noah Solmnson had 2 tackles and 3 assists while Decker Scheffler had 2 tackles and 1 assist.  Xandar Asmus, Kadin Johnson and Jake Rosenstengel each had 2 assists while Nolan Hovland had 1 tackle and 10 assists.  Jerry Majors and James Ploeger each had 1 tackle and 6 assists while Brendon Buerkle had 1 tackle and 3 assists.  Preston Moen had 1 tackle, 1 sack and 1 fumble recovery while Joseph Anderson, Jason Berberich and Ashton Danielson each had 1 tackle and 1 assist.  Joe Hoffmann had 1 tackle while Andrew Baumann, Dylan Batzlaff, Tyler Michel, Dathan Sargent and Ryan Vogel each had 1 assist for the Tigers.
