Tiger Girls Basketball
The Tiger girls varsity basketball team were 1-1 on their schedule before the Christmas break. Springfield defeated Cedar Mountain-Comfrey 62-24 on December 18 and lost to BOLD 76-58 on December 20.
The Tigers will travel to Windom on Thursday, January 3 and host Wabasso on Friday, January 4. Best of luck to Head Coach Dillon Schultz and the Tigers in action this week!
Tigers 62 CMC 24
The Tigers traveled to Morgan Tuesday, December 18 for a matchup with the Cedar Mountain-Comfrey Cougars. Springfield got the win, defeating the Cougars 62-24.
In Tiger action, Sydney Hauger scored 25 points with 11 rebounds, 2 assists and 5 steals while Courtney Wendt scored 9 points with 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal. Meriah Kirschstein scored 8 points with 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal while Taylor Augustin scored 7 points with 9 rebounds and 1 steal. Megan Ploeger scored 7 points with 1 rebound and 2 assists while Cylee Graff scored 2 points with 3 rebounds and 1 steal. Samantha Richert scored 2 points with 3 rebounds while Mackenzie Lothert scored 2 points with 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Lilly McCone added 2 steals for the Tiger victory.

The Tigers traveled to Olivia to face the BOLD Warriors Thursday, December 20. The Tigers lost the matchup 58-76.
In Tiger action, Sydney Hauger led the scoring with 35 points with 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Meriah Kirschstein scored 9 points with 1 rebound, 3 assists and 1 steal while Mackenzie Lothert scored 6 points with 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Courtney Wendt scored 5 points with 1 rebound, 4 assists and 2 steals while Taylor Augustin 2 points while Samantha Richert scored 1 point with 1 rebound and 3 assists. Cylee Graff added 5 rebounds and 1 assist while Megan Ploeger added 1 rebound and 1 assist for the Tigers.
