Tiger Girls Basketball

  The Tiger girls varsity basketball team played two games in the South Subsection tournament last week.  They defeated United South Central 64-35 February 26 but lost to St. Clair 43-51 March 1.  The loss ended the season for the girls.

     Congratulations to Head Coach Dillon Schultz and his staff and team on a fine season of basketball.  Coach Schultz would like to thank the entire team, especially seniors Jennifer Cook and Mackenzie Lothert, on the great season.  Also, thank you to the parents and fans who followed and cheered on the Tigers throughout the season.  We all look forward to another great season of Tiger basketball next year!

 

Tigers 64  USC 35

The Tigers hosted the first game of the South Subsection tournament February 26.  The Tigers defeated USC 64-35 to move on in tournament play.

In Tiger action, Sydney Hauger scored 18 points with 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 5 steals while Courtney Wendt scored 12 points with 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals.  Mackenzie Lothert scored 10 points with 3 rebounds and 3 steals while Cylee Graff scored 7 points with 3 rebounds and 1 steal.  Meriah Kirschstein scored 7 points with 1 steal while Maddy Digmann scored 4 points with 3 rebounds.  Megan Ploeger scored 4 points with 1 rebound, 2 assists and 3 steals while Lilly McCone scored 2 points.  Samantha Richert added 1 rebound, 1 assist and 3 steals and Taylor Augustin added 1 rebound, 1 assist and 1 steal for the Tiger victory.

Tigers 43  St. Clair 51

The Tigers traveled to Lake Crystal last Friday evening to face St. Clair in the second game of the South Subsection Tournament.  The Tigers lost to the Cyclone 43-51 to end their tournament play and end their season.

In Tiger action, Courtney Wendt scored 11 points with 11 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals while Cylee Graff scored 7 points with 2 rebounds and 1 assist.  Megan Ploeger scored 6 points with 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal while Sydney Hauger scored 6 points with 1 rebound.  Mackenzie Lothert scored 5 points with 6 rebounds while Samantha Richert scored 3 points with 6 rebounds and 1 assist.  Meriah Kirschstein scored 3 points with 1 steal while Taylor Augustin scored 2 points with 3 rebounds and 2 steals.  Maddy Digmann added 1 steal for the Tigers.
