Tiger girls basketball defeats GHEC-Truman 90-60

The Springfield Tiger varsity girls basketball team defeated GHEC-Truman in non-conference play 90-60 last Monday evening.  The Tigers dominated GHEC-Truman the entire first half, taking a 41-25 lead into halftime.  The second half saw Head Coach Paul Arnoldi clear his bench and still outscored their opponent 49-35 and went on to a 90-60 victory.

The Tigers are on holiday break and won’t play until the St. James Holiday Tournament December 29 and 30.  Best of luck to Head Coach Arnoldi and the Tigers in the upcoming tournament in St. James.

The Tigers defeated their non-conference opponent GHEC-Truman 90-60 in Springfield last Monday.

Leading the way for the Tigers was Vishe Raab with 22 points, 7 rebounds, 6 steals and 5 assists.  Teammate Joeli Arnoldi had 21 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal and 5 assists with Taylor Milbrath getting 12 points, 5 rebounds, 1 steal and 2 assists.  Amy Davis had 10 points, 2 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 assists with Michaela Leonard getting 8 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals.  Jenny Thoreson had 5 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals and 1 assist with Hailey Wester getting 4 points and 4 rebounds.  Bridget Fenger had 2 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals with Mariah Hoyt getting 2 points and 1 steal.  Kaelyn Platz had 2 points and 3 rebounds with Kylee Wells getting 2 points, 1 steal and 1 assist.  Teammates Jordyn Menage, Natalie Timm and Callie Wersal all added 1 assist apiece on the night.
