Tiger splits the week against Wabasso

Springfield lost the first game at last Monday’s doubleheader against Wabasso held at Riverside Park. Both the Tigers and the Rabbits plated three runs each in the first inning. Wabasso added an additional two runs in the fifth and Springfield added one run. Wabassso scored their final run in the sixth inning winning 6-4. Lexie Groebner led the Tigers with three hits and one RBI. The rest of the lineup had one hit each with Brenna Pabst adding two RBI’s.  Jalivia Richert took the loss on the mound, pitching all seven innings. She gave up six runs off of eight hits, walking two and striking out six.

Springfield 10      Wabasso 5

The Lady Tigers won the second game 10-5 against Wabasso during last Monday’s home doubleheader. Springfield scored two runs in both the first and second innings, three runs fourth inning and finished with an additional three runs in the fifth. Wabasso scored one run in both the first and second, two runs in the fourth and their final run in the fifth.  Jaeli Richert earned the win on the mound, pitching all seven innings. She gave up five runs off of seven hits, walked one and struck out one.  Brooklyn Sturm led the Tigers with three hits and three RBI’s, closely followed by Maddy Digmann who also had three hits and two RBI’s. Jaeli Richert tallied up two hits and the rest of the lineup had one hit each. Jalivia Richert and Brenna Pabst each had an RBI.
