Tiger Volleyball

   The Tiger girls varsity volley ball team had a win and a loss on their schedule this past week.  The Tigers lost 1-3 to New Ulm Cathedral on October 2 and won 3-1 against Cedar Mountain on October 4.

     This week, the Tigers host Minnesota Valley Lutheran on Tuesday, October 9 and travel to Sleepy Eye on Thursday, October 11.  Best of luck to Head Coach Tiffany Pierson and the Tigers in volleyball action this week!

The Tigers hosted New Ulm Cathedral in volleyball action last Tuesday, October 2.  Springfield lost to the Greyhounds 1-3.

In Tiger action, Brittany Rogotzke was 10/12 serving with 2 aces, 1 kill and 33 digs.  Eva Mark was 13/13 serving with 34 set assists, 1 kill, 1 block and 16 digs.  Sarah Dunn was 9/10 serving with 6  digs.  Kora Wahl was 12/14 serving with 5 set assists, 10 kills, 4 blocks and 15 digs.  Mya Mickelson was 18/19 serving with 3 aces, 1 block, 7 kills and 17 digs.  Courtney Wendt was 12/14 serving with 2 aces, 4 kills and 11 digs.  Sydney Hauger had 10 kills and 7 blocks while teammate Taylor Augustin had 9 kills, 2 blocks and 1 dig.  Cylee Graff added 1 set assist and 4 digs for the Tigers.

The Tigers traveled to Morgan last Thursday for a Tomahawk Conference matchup with the Cedar Mountain Cougars.  Springfield defeated Cedar Mountain in four matches 3-1, putting their season record at 10-10 and conference record at 2-4.

In Tiger team action, Brittany Rogotzke was 9/10 serving with 1 ace and 24 digs.  Eva Mark was 6/6 serving with 33 set assists, 1 kill and 12 digs.  Sarah Dunn was 26/27 serving with 2 aces and 7 digs.  Kora Wahl was 22/24 serving with 2 aces, 2 set assists, 7 kills, 3 blocks and 11 digs.  Mya Mickelson was 20/21 serving with 3 aces, 6 kills and 12 digs.  Courtney Wendt was 2/2 serving with 5 digs.  Cylee Graff was 9/10 serving with 3 aces, 10 kills, 1 block, 1 set assist and 7 digs.  Sydney Hauger had 6 kills and 3 blocks.  Taylor Augustin had 10 kills, 2 blocks and 3 digs.  Mackenzie Lothert added 1 dig for the Tigers.
