Tigers are heading back to ‘the Bank’

Springfield 20

Goodhue 14

Tigers football fans were, once again, treated to a classic performance on Thursday night in Rochester as Springfield defeated Goodhue 20-14 in the first round of the Class A State Tournament.

The Tigers had been accustomed to playing with the lead for the vast majority of the season, but it was a different story on Thursday. It wasn’t until there was 21 seconds left in the game that Springfield tilted the scoreboard in their favor on a 32-yard game-winning touchdown pass from Parker Kuehn to Isaac Fredin.
