Tigers end their season at ‘The Bank’

The Springfield Tiger varsity boys football team faced the undefeated Mahnomen/Waubun Thunderbirds in the Minnesota State Class A Semi-Finals at U.S. Bank Stadium last Saturday morning.  The Thunderbirds came on strong in the first quarter, scoring two touchdowns to get their momentum going.  The Tigers were unable to get any points on the scoreboard, losing to the Thunderbirds 38-0 and ending their season at 8-5.

     Congratulations to Head Coach Bob Fink and the entire Tiger squad on an exciting season and great showing at ‘The Bank.’  Coach Fink would like to thank the entire Tiger squad and especially the seniors—Isaac Fink, Jordan Kieper, Tim Rogotzke, Jake Veenstra, Noah Solmonson, Mitchell Leonard and James Ploeger—for the fine season of play.  He also would like to thank the Tigers fans for their support throughout the season.  We hope to see the Tiger football team at ‘The Bank’ again next year!!
