“Neon Live” Band

ABBA-Elton John Tribute Concert here February 28

The 1970s,1980s and 1990s will come alive in Springfield Saturday evening, February 28.  Springfield Community Theatre (SCT) will be hosting an ABBA-Elton John Tribute concert featuring the “Neon Live” Band from Mankato.  The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Auditorium at Springfield Public School.  Admission will be FREE, no tickets will be sold and all seating will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Doors will open at 7:00 p.m. that evening.  Concert-goers are encouraged to dig out their 70s, 80s and 90s attire and wear it to the concert, adding to the evening’s fun.

“Neon Live” is from the Mankato area and performs at numerous events and parties in Southern Minnesota.

SCT hosted them in a concert in Riverside Park back in 2022.  According to their website, “Neon Live presents a high energy-packed night of fun, sing-alongs and neon lights.”  The show will be split with half as a tribute to ABBA and the other half to Elton John.

The show is being presented with financial support from the Springfield American Legion Post #257.  A freewill offering will be collected, with proceeds used toward future SCT productions and projects.

Mark your calendars for a fun “blast from the past” concert February 28!
