Community Night Out is huge success

Beautiful weather, good food, great entertainment and camaraderie made Springfield’s third annual Community Night Out Picnic Tuesday, August 4 a huge success. A crowd of approximately 575 enjoyed a free meal of burgers, brats, beans, chips, 1919 root beer, water and Lingen Dairy ice cream sundaes at the event held in Riverside Park. The Dinah Lillian Band provided musical entertainment for all to enjoy and the Springfield Ambulance and Springfield Police Department were on hand to share with everyone what they actually do to serve our community.
