Sharing Christmas Joy . . . with food and heart-warming gifts!
The Springfield Rotary Club, the organization carrying out the work for the Operation Christmas Joy, a program that provides food and a few other essentials to families with special needs, has sent gift cards for food to 102 families/individuals in the Springfield community, and 28 gifts of food, warm hats and mittens and toys for families with children.
Those gifts are made possible by the many people, businesses and organizations that contributed to the Operation Christmas Joy fund. A number of the gift boxes included a beautiful quilt, hand-made by Clarice Anderson. Rotarians Jeff Krueger, Maxine Meine and Amanda Frank show some of the gifts before they were delivered on December 11.
