The Bicycling Around Minnesota (BAM) Tour is coming to southern Minnesota next week when Springfield will host approximately 300 bicyclists for an overnight visit on Friday, August 19.
BAM is a four-day bicycle tour in which riders start and end at the same location but stay overnight in a different community each night. “The goals of the ride are to promote Share the Road — a bicycle safety education program, fitness, tourism and bicycling as a transportation mode as well as the scenic roadways of Minnesota,” says Mary Derks, tour director, for Bicycling Around Minnesota – BAM Inc.
