Thanksgiving Food Drive benefits local food shelf

The Student Council at Springfield Public school challenged high school students to give to the local food shelf this thanksgiving season. On Monday, students loaded up 214.5 pounds of food and a $951.00 cash donation and delivered it to the Springfield Area Food Shelf.
The Springfield Area Food Shelf is open Tuesdays 5:00-7:00 p.m. and Thursdays 9:30-11:30 a.m. and is located at 804 E. Rock Street—E. Highway 14, Springfield. Servicing Springfield, Comfrey, Sanborn, Clements and Cobden. For more informa- tion call 507-723-4120. Heartland Express tokens are free to those needing transportation.
