Thanksgiving weekend snow blankets the area

A Winter Storm Warning was in effect for the Springfield area Friday and Saturday of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Russell Rogotzke, local weather observer, reported that the Springfield area received 1.5 inches Saturday and 7 inches Sunday. Residents spent much of Sunday morning clearing the snow. Plows were spotted throughout town including cleaning the east parking lot at Springfield Public School.
