Three City Council terms will expire

Voters in the City of Springfield will be asked to fill three seats on the Springfield City Council during the November 8, 2016, General Election. Springfield residents will vote for Mayor/Councilor at Large, and two councilors — one to represent Ward I and the other to represent Ward II.  All three seats are for four-year terms. Local governing officials whose terms will expire December 31, 2016, are Mayor / Councilor at Large Mark Brown, Ward I Councilor Lowell Helget, and Ward II Councilor Chet Bisel.
