It’s a bountiful harvest.

The harvest is bountiful. The bins are full of grain. And, corn is stockpiled on the ground.

The harvest in the Springfield community is nearing completion.

The bins are filled at all of Harvest Land Cooperative sites — in Springfield, Morgan, Morton, Clements and Comfrey.

As of Friday, November 4, Springfield had 12 million bushels of corn and soybeans in the bins; and 3 million bushels stockpiled on the ground.

“We have been running full while piling corn in bunkers,” said Harvest Land Cooperative’s Springfield Branch Manager Roger Vaske.   “We’ve been drying corn all night for the past three weeks, trying to keep up.”
