James ‘Jim’ Senst

James Senst, 84, of Lamberton died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Springfield. 

A service of Remembrance was held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Lamberton. Burial will be in St. Matthew’s Cemetery in Waterbury Township April 7, 2018.

Jim Senst was born July 18, 1933, on the family farm in Waterbury Township. He graduated from Lamberton High School and served with the U.S. Army. He married Bernadine Haseleu at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield of April 7, 1956. They farmed in Lamberton Township until retirement in 1994 when they moved into Lamberton.

Surviving are wife, Bernadine; children, Mike (Sandy) of Lamberton, Susan (Gary) Van Watermeulen of Taunton; David (Darcy) Senst of Bloomingtono; Brad (Mary) Senst, and Julie Senst of Lambeton; 12 grandchildren; 19 grandchildren; brother, Charles; sister, Mary; and sisters-in-law, Marlene Loose of Chaska and LaMae Dahms of Redwood Falls.
