A bitter end to a sweet season!

The Springfield Tigers Boys basketball team ended their season with a heartbreaking loss to Mayer Lutheran in the Section 2A title game at Minnesota State University in Mankato Friday evening, March 16.   The game was tied 75-75 with two seconds left when the ball ended up in the hands of Mayer Lutheran’s Cole Hagen who tossed the ball into the air towards the basket for a clean toss and three-points just before the game-ending buzzer sounded.  For story and more pictures turn to Page 9  in this newspaper.
