Douglas John Hillesheim, 56, died Friday, June 15, 2018, at his home in San Antonio, Texas. He was born March 21, 1962 to Albert and Madonna Hillesheim of Clements, where he grew up. He spent much of his adult life working in operations for gold mining corporations in Nevada.
He is survived by his husband, Jeffrey Marsden of San Antonio; daughters, Shelly Hillesheim, Erin Gallegos, Julie (Patrick) Mickas, and stepson, Joseph (Cassondra) Shake; his mother; and seven siblings. He was preceded in death by his father, and four siblings.
A Memorial Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, June 23, in San Antonio. A second private service will be held in Minnesota in early July.
