Rosella Groebner

Rosella Groebner, age 96, of Springfield passed away on January 22, 2023, at Divine Providence Community Home in Sleepy Eye, MN. 

A Private Mass of Christian Burial Service was held at St. Raphael Catholic Church, Springfield, MN, on Thursday, January 26, 2023.  

Interment was at St. Raphael Catholic Cemetery in Springfield, MN.

Rosella Clara Groebner was born on October 21, 1926, to Andrew and Anna (Mader) Vogel in North Star Township, Brown County, Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Gerhardt Groebner on October 21, 1947 at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Springfield. She was a lifelong member of St. Raphael Catholic Church. Rosella and Gerhardt farmed in Stately Township until Gerhardt's retirement in 1987, then the family moved to Springfield. Rosella enjoyed gardening, canning, scrapbooking and spending time with family. She was a great farm wife and homemaker for her family.  

Left to cherish Rosella's everlasting memory include children, Gary (Deb) Groebner, Larry (Ann) Groebner, Alan (Robin) Groebner, Jim (Elsie) Groebner, David (Sandy) Groebner, Richard (Jayna) Groebner, Janice (Patrick) Hoffman, Karen (Gary) Jensen, Rose (Barry) Hoecherl, Diane (Steve) Marks, Deb ((Duane) Feser, Julie (Steve) Platz; about 140 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gerhardt; son, Michael; two infant children; grandsons, Jason and Joseph; two sisters and five brothers.
