Tiger volleyball ends regular season with win over Madelia

Springfield 1

Windom 3

The Springfield Tiger Varsity Volleyball team hosted Windom on Monday, October 19, losing 3-1. Set Scores were 22-25, 25-21, 14-25, 18-25.

Head Coach Alissa Roiger stated after the match, “Windom is a very talented and competitive team with a strong offense.  We came out strong in each set and were able to compete point for point with them early on.  Unfortunately, in the third and fourth set we struggled to slow down their hitters and they did an excellent job getting us out of system making it difficult to get into a consistent offensive rhythm.  Playing against these teams that put us in competitive situations are exactly what we need to learn, grow, and prepare for postseason.  I thought the girls competed well and I am proud of them for fighting hard and taking one set against a tough double A school!”
