Jeanine Ramona Jackson

 Jeanine Ramona Jackson, Sanborn, Minnesota, passed away September 20, 2023.  A private Celebration of Life for friends and family will be held Saturday, December 2 from 12:00-4:00 p.m. at the Springfield Area Community Center.

Jeanine Hallfrish was born June 28, 1942 in Duluth, Minnesota.  She attended Proctor High School.  She lived with her grandmother for a period of time, as well as in orphanages on occasion.  She was greatly influenced by one of her foster mothers, Hellen Green.  She cherished life despite having a tough childhood.

“Jeanie” was passionate about writing poems and singing, as was well-known for her beautiful garden she accomplished with her late husband, Ronald Jackson, in Springfield, Minnesota.  She was pleased to be the center figure of the lives of her family.  She enjoyed taking her grandchildren out and playing “dress up” with her granddaughters.  She was usually singing cheerful tunes that put a smile on everyone’s face.

Jeanine is survived by her children Curtis Gould, Sanborn, Minnesota, Jerry (Chris) Gould, Lakeville, Minnesota and John Gould, Springfield, Minnesota; grandchildren Nicholas Gould, Noah Gould, Jasmine Gould and Jessica Gould; brother Jim Cruthers; and her beloved dog, D-O-G.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Jackson; brother Chuck Hallfrish; and sister Leann Hanson.
