Laureen Utz, 54, of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and formerly of Springfield, died on Sunday, March 31, 2019. Her death was attributed to cancer.
Laureen grew up in Springfield and was a 1983 graduate of Springfield High School.
Laureen is survived by her son, Kamal (Azza) Aljazireh of Aurora, Illinois; daughters, Maryam, Annesah and Emman; and sons, Mujahid and Muhammad Hamdan of Riyadh, Saudia Arabia; her father, John Utz of Vining, Minn.; brother, Patrick Utz of Becker; sister, Darla Portner (Daniel), and brother, Daniel Streich (Jackie), all of Springfield. Also surviving are aunts, uncles and many nieces and nephews.
Laureen was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Utz, in 2017.
