Shari Ann Duffy

Shari Ann Duffy, age 80, of rural Springfield died on February 16, 2022, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield. 

Visitation will be on Monday, March 28, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield. 

Memorial Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 1:00 p.m. 

The clergy will be Pastor Rebecca Krogstad and Chaplain Noel Wetter. Inurnment will be at the Brookville-Dannebod Cemetery at a later date.

Shari Ann Duffy was born on April 6, 1941, to Ralph and Ruth (Curtis) Rangel in Minneapolis, MN. She graduated from Robbinsdale High School and then attended Mesabi Community College. On January 15, 1959, Shari was united in marriage to Lawrence Duffy in Mason City, IA. Shari and Larry lived many years in Crystal, MN until moving to the Duluth area where she worked as a business office manager at a nursing home. In 2002, the couple moved to Springfield, then moved to Texas for 14 years until returning to Springfield area. The last 2 1/2 years, Shari has been cared for at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield. She loved quilting and made quilts for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Shari was a member of the quilting guild in Texas and Springfield. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, traveling, and listening to music. 

She is survived by her husband Lawrence of rural Morgan; children - Shawn (Debbie) Duffy of Andover, Lisa Hoag of Crosslake, Darren (Beth) Duffy of Crosslake, Shannon (DuWayne) Peterson of Springfield, and Kevin (Tammy) Duffy of Temple, TX; 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; and siblings - Linda Fjerstad, Darryl (Barb) Rangel, Debra Rangel, Robert (Bruce) Rangel, and Greg Rangel. Shari was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Abby, son-in-law Frank Hoag, brother Anthony Rangel, and brother-in-law Jerry Fjerstad.
