Seussical, Jr. went on stage August 1-2

     Over seventy students, ages 7-13, from Sleepy Eye, Springfield, New Ulm and the surrounding area were part of the cast of Seussical, Jr. that took the stage in Sleepy Eye this past weekend.  The show was sponsored by Sleepy Eye Community Theatre and Sleepy Eye Community Education.  The principal characters rehearsed for two weeks and the ensemble members were added the second week.

     Springfield students in the cast included Kairos Mathiowetz who played a Who; Ezri Mathiowetz who played Sour Kangaroo; Jozie Pingeon who played Gertrude McFuzz; Randee Dombek who played the Cat in the Hat; Levi Johnson who played Horton the Elephant; Declan Johnson who played Mr. Mayor; Everly Jensen who played Yertle the Turtle; and Blair Lang who played a Jungle Citizen Bumblebee.
