Springfield to host One-Act Play competition

Springfield Public School will host the 2026 Section 2A Subsection 7 One-Act Play Contest this Saturday, January 24 at the school.  Seven area schools will be participating in the event.  Each school will present their entry on stage in the Performing Arts Auditorium:  Sleepy Eye United (10:00 a.m.), Springfield (11:00 a.m.), New Ulm (12:00 p.m.), Mountain Lake Area (1:00 p.m.), St. James Area (2:00 p.m.), Cedar Mountain (3:00 p.m.) and Madelia (4:00 p.m.).

     The public is invited to come and view the competition.  Section 2A Spectator Admission is Adults $10.00 and Students $5.00.  Keep in mind that there will be no admittance after the start time of each performance.  Concessions will be available during the day.
