The Springfield Tiger varsity boys basketball team won both games played last week in the Section 2A South Subsection playoffs. The Tigers defeated GHECTML 89-49 at home on March 6 and WEM 76-57 in Lake Crystal on March 8. The two wins move the #1 ranked Tigers to the South Subsection championship game against #2 ranked St. Clair on Monday, March 12 at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter. The winner of that game will play the winner of the North Subsection Championship game between # 1 ranked Mayer Lutheran and #2 ranked BOLD on Friday, March 16 at Minnesota State University in Mankato.
